Milwaukee Food Tours offers private tours for groups of all sizes - we've accommodated groups up to 200. Private tours are for 8 or more guests - there are no additional fees for private tours and deposits are not required. Generous food/drink portions are including in the price; guests are invited to bring along extra cash if they would like to shop at the various stores that we visit.
Private tours can be arranged on any of our neighborhood walking tours (with approximately a 1-mile walking route for each option):
-
Brady Street
-
Historic Third Ward
-
RiverWalk/Old World 3rd Street
-
Village of Wauwatosa (less that 1-mile of walking & plenty of shopping!)
-
"Sweets & Treats" in Historic Cedarburg
-
Bloody Mary Brunch
Besides our neighborhood walking tours, we offer several themed tours via bus. These options involve minimal walking and are fully-customizable. Full-day, half-day and 2.5 hour itinerary options are available.
Themed tour options include:
- Progressive Meal/Day in Milwaukee Ethnic Adventure
Enjoy a progressive lunch or dinner in which we will provide history of Milwaukee's immigrant tastes by highlighting three ethnic restaurants in downtown Milwaukee during a 3-course meal (appetizer/salad, entree and dessert - each at a different location, customizable). If desired, this tour can conclude by visiting a local microbrewery or distillery, throwing strikes in a local bowling alley, or enjoying a scoop of custard.
- Christmas Around Milwaukee Bakery Tour
Travel around the world and back in our own Milwaukee on our Christmas Around Milwaukee Bakery Bus Tour! Features stops at bakeries and signature pastries throughout the area while enjoying stories of ethnic holiday traditions in route - all stops incorporate an opportunity to shop at the establishments. Guests on this unique tour will be treated to signature cookies, pastries and non-alcoholic treats at each stop. If desired, this tour can include a full lunch with high tea at a local B&B decorated especially for the holidays.
- Trick-or-Chocolate Halloween Tour
Features a haunted city tour by bus with ghost stories through the Third Ward, along Brady Street, down Wisconsin Avenue in the Concordia neighborhood, and even through a historic cemetery. Plus, you'll have a chance to Trick-or-Chocolate your way through Milwaukee for some spooktacular treats with stops at several local chocolatiers along the way where guests are treated to desserts. Similar to our other bus tours, if desired, our guests will have ample time to shop and purchase additional treats.
- Chocolates & Churches
In between stops at local chocolatiers for behind-the-scenes insights and treats on this tour, we also visit local churches to learn about the history and architecture of these unique places of worship. Perfect for a Easter or Christmas season outing! Similar to our other bus tours, if desired, our guests will have ample time to shop and purchase additional treats.
- Milwaukee's Pizza Tour
Join us as we sample the quintessential thin crust pizza, grab gourmet slices of tomato goodness, and search for the most historic pies in Milwaukee. We'll go from old-school, 5-star pizzerias to newer, upscale establishments and enjoy a variety of unique tastes that they each offer. And, save room for dessert as Milwaukee's Pizza Tour concludes with a divine scoop of gelato.
- Green-Friendly “Farm & Table” Tours
Tour an urban farm in Milwaukee to see their growing methods hard at work; worms eating waste, fish fertilizing plants, and honeybees pollinating the neighborhood. Afterwards, travel to a restaurant to sample the harvest that unfolds each season.
- Beer, Brats and Bowling Tour
Sample all of Milwaukee’s traditions! Duck pin bowl in the only remaining alley in Wisconsin. Tour a local microbrewery (or, distillery). Visit three of Milwaukee’s ethnic neighborhoods to eat brats, cheese and custard, and ‘schlemiel, schlemazel’ with Fonzie. If desired, dancing with abandon as the tubas tube and the concertinas concert at a German Beer Hall can be arranged to complete your experience.
If you are simply traveling through the city with a need for a step-on guide, let us know. We provide great city tours, and can spice up your trip with shopping stops along the way!
