Great Lakes Hemophilia Foundation Hosts 2nd Annual Milwaukee’s Best Bloody

We just were alerted to a unique fundraising event in town that we thought our fans might be interested in. Since our own Bloody Mary Brunch tour every Sunday morning is so popular, you might want to check this annual event out too! Taste Milwaukee’s Best Bloody Mary’s on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Turner Hall Ballroom. Great Lakes Hemophilia Foundation (GLHF) will be host a friendly competition and tasting event from 11 am to 3pm, your ticket includes delicious Bloody Marys, beer chasers, appetizers, and the chance to crown the next Bloody Mary champion. Tickets can be purchased online or day of.

The event will feature delicious Bloody Marys from bars across the Milwaukee area from the East side to Downtown to the Third Ward. Returning to compete are The Pfister, Industri Café, AJ Bombers, & last year’s winner Steny’s Tavern & Grill. New bars include Sobelman’s Pub and Grill and Rustico Pizzeria, with many more signing up daily. You can check an updated list at

The GLHF Board President, Bill Finn, will be a guest bartender serving up his own unique Bloody Mary while raising money for GLHF’s inaugural camp. There will also be barrel of booze for attendees to win as well as raffles for participants to try their hand at.

The bars will be judged on four basic categories. The attendees will get to decide Milwaukee’s Best Bloody, while guest celebrity judges will vote on the other three categories. Most Unique, Most Like a Meal, and our NEW Mystery Category (when you purchase your tickets online you decide our new category). Celebrity judges include Brian West of Alcoholmanac Magazine & Susan Fiebig author of The Bloody Trail: In Quest of the Best Wisconsin Bloody Marys.

All proceeds from Milwaukee’s Best Bloody will fund GLHF programs that are designed to educate and support individuals and families with bleeding disorders by supporting programs that increase public awareness, ensure access to needed medical services, provide relevant information and resources, build a supportive community among individuals and families, and promote choices that lead to optimal health and living life without limitations.
