Join us on our newest tour in our Christmas collection – the North Shore Chicago Bakery Bus!
Inspired by our beloved Christmas Around Milwaukee Bakery Bus, this tour takes us south to Chicago’s North Shore. You can meet us in Lake Forest, IL – or leave the hassle of driving to us and select from your choice of a meeting spot in Milwaukee, Oak Creek, or Kenosha.
Once in Lake Forest, IL, guests on the nice list (and even the naughty list) will be treated to signature cookies, candies, and pastries from 6 of Santa’s favorite bakeries in Chicago’s North Shore! This tour is complete with treats from bakeries, stories of ethnic holiday traditions and ample shopping time. In between stops, we’ll travel along a scenic route to see the beautifully adorned Sheridan Road, capturing the essence of a North Shore Christmas, and even get a peek of the famous Home Alone house situated in the quaint Village of Winnetka.
We encourage everyone to dress for the occasion; Santa hats, Elf stockings, ugly Christmas sweaters, pretty Christmas sweaters…all are welcome on the Bakery Bus!

Accessibility
Although minimal walking is required, there is still walking involved. This tour is NOT handicap accessible and attendees will need to go up/down minimal stairs to get on/off the bus multiple times.
Dietary Restrictions
This tour is seafood/shellfish free. We can offer vegetarian options. However, we are not able to accommodate other food allergies, dietary restrictions, or preferences on this tour. This includes gluten, vegan, sugar-free and kosher requests.

Considerations
Several bakeries only take cash. Please consider bringing a tote to keep track of all of your goodies on the bus. Otherwise totes can be purchased for $5 to benefit area food pantries.

If you need to cancel, please call (414)-255-0534 x 2 at least 48 hours before the tour. We are happy to give a refund with advance notice. No refunds are provided to no-show attendees or day-of cancellations.
Our tours are conducted rain or shine. If there is severe weather, we will delay the tour or if it needs to be cancelled, will issue refunds and/or reschedule your tour for a later date.Â

We offer vegetarian options on all of our food tours. We are unable to accommodate for gluten-free, kosher, sugar-free or vegan on our public tours. We are able to make allergy/preference accommodations on private tours. Contact us at (414) 255-0534 ext. 2.
Our walking tours are handicap and stroller accessible. Check the tour listing for distances. There are plenty of walking breaks and opportunities to sit down along the way.
Our bus tours are not handicap accessible and attendees need to go up/down stairs to get on/off the bus multiple times. Foldable strollers and walkers are welcome.
Yes! All of our tours are available for as private tours. When you arrange for a private tour, you have the flexibility of time, date, number in party, and dietary accommodations. We require 8 or more for a private walking or streetcar tour, or 15 or more for a private bus tour. There is a 20% private tour booking fee which includes: restaurant gratuities, tour guide gratuity, driver gratuity, credit card processing fees, and administrative planning time.
