Westown, a vibrant Milwaukee neighborhood, includes Milwaukee's spanning RiverWalk as well as Old World 3rd Street rich with German culture. On this tour route, experience Milwaukee's German heritage on Old World Third Street, learn about our many Beer Barons and then eat, drink and socialize your way into restaurants along the RiverWalk in the Westown neighborhood! This tour offers authentic German food tastings, as well as an opportunity to visit newer establishments in the area. This is your chance to tour Milwaukee and savor it too!

Tour Length: Approximately one mile along Milwaukee’s RiverWalk, with plenty of walking breaks and opportunities to sit down along the way
Time Commitment: Between 2 - 2.5 hours, depending on the pace of the group
Fun Facts: Did you know that the typewriter was invented in Milwaukee, that Chinatown used to inhabit Old World Third Street, and that some of our sidewalks were heated well before it was trendy? On this tour route, you’ll learn more about these fun facts, plus we’ll even schlemiel, schlimazel our way across the Milwaukee River to visit The Fonz.
Food Items Include: All located in the Westown neighborhood along Milwaukee’s RiverWalk, we will visit a specialty spice shop, dine on German fare at a nationally renowned German eatery, stop in to see America's oldest sausage maker, sample an array of Wisconsin cheese, enjoy many foods unique to Milwaukee and sip on locally-brewed beer. All tastings are included in the price. Samples are substantial. You will not need to plan for a meal after the tour!
