FAQs About Milwaukee Brewery Tours & Bar Tours

What are the best brewery tours for history lovers?

Our top-rated Milwaukee brewery tours include the Pre-Prohibition Historic Bar Tour, which explores the city’s tavern culture dating back to 1847, and the Craft Breweries & Cocktails Tour, which focuses on the evolution of Milwaukee’s beer-making legacy. These experiences combine deep historical narratives with modern production insights led by local experts.

Are there any downtown Milwaukee brewery tours that include transportation?

Yes, our brewery and bar tours utilize comfortable bus transportation to visit multiple locations safely. Popular options starting near the downtown Milwaukee area include the Bloody Mary Brunch Tour, Pre-Prohibition Historic Bar Tour and the Tacos & Tequila Tour, allowing guests to visit several neighborhoods without worrying about navigation or parking.

What is the age limit for your brewery and bar tours?

While many of our Milwaukee bar tours are technically open to all ages, guests must be strictly 21 or older with a valid government-issued photo ID to participate in alcohol tastings. For younger guests or non-drinkers, we provide non-alcoholic beverage alternatives, such as soda or water, at each stop.

Do your Milwaukee brewery tours include food as well?

Most of our brewery tours typically include food as well. For example, the Pre-Prohibition Historic Bar Tour includes four 6-ounce beers and one 6-ounce Old Fashioned paired with a traditional German pretzel and an assortment of Old World meats and cheeses.

How long do these bar and brewery tours typically last?

Most of our Milwaukee brewery tours and bar tours last between 3 and 4.5 hours. The Pre-Prohibition Historic Bar Tour is approximately 3 hours, while the more in-depth Craft Breweries & Cocktails Tour typically runs 4 to 4.5 hours. With an expert guide leading the way through great stories and plenty of laughs, the time flies by and the experience never feels long.

Can I book a private Milwaukee brewery tour for a bachelor or bachelorette party?

Absolutely. We specialize in private bar and brewery tours for groups of 8 to 26+ guests. Our stress-free planning model requires no deposit or signed contract to start, and we can often customize the itinerary with specific stops or pickup locations to fit your celebration.

How do you handle dietary restrictions?

We can provide vegetarian-friendly food samples if notified at the time of booking. If you are booking a private tour and notify us in advance, we can offer substitutions for other dietary restrictions, such as vegan, gluten-free, or lactose-intolerant diets.

What happens if it rains or snows on the day of my brewery tour?

Our brewery tours run rain, shine, or snow. In the event of inclement weather, your guide will adjust the schedule to spend more time inside our partner bars and heated tasting rooms to ensure the group stays warm and dry.

Where do the brewery tours meet and is there parking?

Tours typically begin in the specific neighborhood being featured. Upon purchasing tickets, you will receive an email with the exact meeting location and specific recommendations for nearby parking structures or street parking.

Are the buses used for brewery tours wheelchair accessible?

Our current fleet of mini-coaches is not handicap accessible, as guests must be able to navigate minimal stairs to board and exit. However, many of the stops on our walking and streetcar-based tours are wheelchair accessible.

What is the cancellation policy for these bar and brewery experiences?

Public brewery  tour tickets are eligible for a full refund if cancelled at least 48 hours in advance. For private group events, we require at least 72 hours’ notice for a full refund. We also offer optional “Tour Ticket Insurance” for $2 per ticket at checkout for last-minute protection.
